had this exact car w/o the turbo. most fun car i had. it got rear-ended and totaled and i used the money to buy a mustang but it wasn't nearly as fun. the mazda was as easy to work on as it gets too

looks great, I've got the same v6 but it's been off road for 11 years, I've just started to get it going again, will take me time but I'm hopful I can get mine back on the road by next year😁👍

l had a gal friend that had one. l remember the seats were extremely rigid and you feel as if youre riding just above the road. The cornering was most impressive to me. The horsepower was over-kill excessive. We drove it from Dallas to Norman OK and back for OU games and after the 2nd trip we started taking my Ford F-150. lt was just more comfortable on the road. This was 2010 and her car was still as new. 20+k. l can see them as track cars tho for the weekends.

Great trip Bob! That guy had a LOT of BMW parts for you! The C4 and the Saab look nice.

Since it's a series 1 V6, it's got the "Diravi" steering (same as the CX or SM - steering wheel automatically comes back to "center" position). On XMs it usually leaks or malfunctions after a decade or two, since the seals are too close to the exaust pipe. It's a pretty low mileage example, so it should be fine. But first, replace the LHM plus fluid, clean the two filters in the LHM tank and change all the spheres to new ones from Sphere Discount (the brand is IFHS). And from there you'll see if the hydraulics work properly.

I owned the identical car and had an 85 before it. Such a weird, fun little car. One of those "wish I never sold that" cars for sure. Man I miss when car makers still had a sense of fun and would build interesting cars
